The new head of the Fish and Wildlife and Parks division is installed.
On Monday, Secretary Deb Haaland of the Department of the Interior held the swearing-in ceremony for Shannon Estenoz as the new Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks. A native of Key West, Estenoz has 24 years of experience in conservation efforts and most recently served as chief operating officer of The Everglades Foundation.
“Shannon’s decades of experience protecting and conserving our public lands and the wildlife who call them home is invaluable,” said Interior Secretary Haaland.
Assistant Secretary Estenoz stated, “I look forward to working collaboratively with Secretary Haaland, the Department’s talented public servants, and people from every corner of the country to ensure the conservation of America’s public lands, wildlife, and precious natural resources.”
